  • Three other current or former Iowa State athletes have also been charged with tampering with records related to the ongoing investigation, including sophomore wrestler Paniro Johnson, sophomore football player Dodge Sauser, and former football player Eyioma Uwazurike.

  1. Astros' Framber Valdez blanks Guardians for MLB's 3rd no-hitter

  • Framber Valdez threw a no-hitter for the Houston Astros in a 2-0 victory over the Cleveland Guardians.

  • Valdez allowed only one baserunner on a walk in the fifth inning but faced the minimum thanks to a double play.

  • He became the first left-hander to throw a no-hitter for Houston.

  • Valdez finished with seven strikeouts and threw just 93 pitches, making it the third-fewest pitches in a no-hitter since 1988.
