The Open 2023: Brian Harman's victory was decades in the making
Brian Harman won the 151st Open Championship with a 6-stroke victory, becoming the third left-handed player to win The Open.
Harman had a standout junior and college golf career, showing immense talent and competitiveness.
The 36-year-old's career had been good but not great on the PGA Tour, with two wins and numerous top-10 finishes.
Harman's mentors, including Davis Love III and Zach Johnson, helped him control his emotions on the course and develop his game.
Winning The Open Championship was a significant moment in Harman's career, and he plans to use the Claret Jug to drink Guinness.

McGriff's speech emphasized his journey from childhood in Tampa to becoming a student of the game and his gratitude towards his family.
Rolen was inducted in his sixth year of eligibility, rising from receiving just 10.2% of the vote in his first appearance on the ballot.
Rolen's speech celebrated his small-town background, work ethic, and the support of his family.
NBA's board of governors approves sale of Hornets, sources say
The NBA's board of governors approved the sale of the Charlotte Hornets to a group led by Rick Schnall and Gabe Plotkin, ending Michael Jordan's 13-year run as majority owner.
The sale was approved with a 29-1 vote, with New York Knicks owner James Dolan casting the lone vote against it.
The team was purchased at an approximate $3 billion valuation, and the sale will be executed in the next one to two weeks.
Rick Schnall and Gabe Plotkin will become the franchise's governors, with Michael Jordan retaining a minority stake in the team.
Jordan, the league's only Black majority owner, previously sold a significant minority stake to Plotkin and Daniel Sundheim in 2020, and Sundheim is part of the current group purchasing the Hornets.
